Killswitch Pt 2

Robin walks up the ramp and into the backstage area following her loss at Battle on the Atlantic. Shawn sits waiting for her in the locker room, she approaches the locker room door cursing and crying. “One win! I can't even get one! “ Furious with herself she kicks the door to the locker room open and it blows off its hinges. Shawn dives out of his chair and to the floor thinking a bomb just went off on the aircraft carrier.

“Jesus Christ Robin! What are you doing?” Shawn shouts from the floor.

Robin moves through the locker room like a tornado picking up anything in her path and destroying it. “That one should have been mine!” She shouts and slams her fist into the wall.

“Relax Robin, I've been here before,I know how it feels.” Shawn says climbing back to his feet.

“What do you mean you've been here before? How could you possibly know how I'm feeling?’ Robin looks at Shawn with a scowl and slowly begins to move toward him.

“I mean my last run professionally I didn't really win a whole lot. Tommy and I were actually dealing with a Crisis that took place in the ring and out. Listen, it's a lot to explain right here right now. I'll talk to you about it on the way home.”Shawn says and reaches to put his hand on her shoulder.

Robin sidesteps Shawns arm and grabs him, throwing a bionic knee into his gut. “I wish I had known that before I agreed to let you train me. Tell Tommy to find me someone else.”

Robin picks her bag up off the floor and walks out of the locker room. “Tell him I'm going home for the week as well.”

Three days later Robin sits alone in a hole in the wall bar taking shots of bourbon and slowly sipping on a Corona. “I told you no lime.” She mumbles under her breath as she picks the bottle up, swirling the liquid around and observing the pulp in her beer. From behind her a slim figure approaches sliding into the stool next to her.

“Anyone sitting here?” The man says as he pulls some cash from his pocket and waves the bartender over.

Robin looks at the man and grumbles something about the referees on tv needing glasses before realizing who the man is. “Look who it is.” She chuckles. “Ezekial Kensing, who'd have imagined I'd run into you here.”

“Well Robin I have to admit I'm a little bit starstruck. One of the ladies of First Class is in a hole in the wall bar.”

“I needed a break. If you've been watching, then you know I'm just a big loser. The only person i've given any kind of beating to has been Katia Fyre backstage and I didnt even know it was happening till it was over.” Robin takes the shot in front of her and chases it with Corona. “Now I'm finally going to end up facing her in the ring with her partner Lien shes just as pissy about me beating up Katia as Katia herself, and to make it all worse ive got a tag team partner ive never even met before.”

The bartender finally arrives to take Zekes order. “I'll have a Coors light.”

“Drinking water tonight Zeke?” Robin comments on his drink order and gives the bartender a nod sticking up a single finger.

“I didn't come here to be judged by you.” Zeke smiles as the bartender sits the bottle down in front of him and an additional Corona in front of Robin.

“Well you sat down next to me didn't you? You should know what to expect at this point. What's it 20 years at this point?” Robin finishes her first bottle and picks up the second.

“Something like that.” Zeke grins. “How did you get into wrestling to begin with anyway?”

“Well I was working out in this Gym while rehabbing from my accident and the guy I was paying to be my trainer turned out to be a wrestler. After they attached the bionic prosthesis, he insisted I let him train me, so I did. But I'm not so sure I'm gonna keep him around much longer. I think it's time I find someone else that can take me the rest of the way.”

Ezekiel places his beer on the bar. “Well I may just be the perfect guy for you to have run into tonight. As it turns out I have some connections that you may find useful.” Zeke slips a card across the bar to her. The card itself black with a red handprint in the middle, on the back a phone number.”

“What is this?” Robin picks up the card examining it. “I feel like I've seen this logo before.

“Probably Zeke replies, '' My family has been connected to this group for quite a long time and as it turns out they have some ties to the professional wrestling business. Maybe you have seen it before while on the road. They have been involved with several promotions over the years.”

“Thanks man! I just may reach out. But on that note it's time for me to get out of here. I have to be on a flight in the morning heading back to New Jersey where my agent is located. If I don't get what I want from him now I've got a backup plan.” Robin chugs the rest of the bottle of Corona down, throws some cash on the bar and places her hand on Zeke's shoulder. “It was crazy seeing you like this, what a coincidence. Lets not wait so long between meeting up again. Friend me on Facebook. I don't use Instagram or Twitter.” She stands up from her seat and walks to the door exiting the bar.

Zeke turns and looks across the bar and nods at a hooded figure in the corner.
